Kabam has released version 11.2 of Marvel Contest of Champions, which brings new 5-Star champions, UX improvements and several bug fixes. You can download the latest version of the game directly on your device through the Apple App Store, or the Google Play Store
As previously announced, the following 5 Star Champions have now been included in the 5-Star Crystal:
- Superior Iron Man
- Colossus
- Guillotine
- Yellowjacket
- Moon Knight
- Hulkbuster
Additionally Kabam now also allows selling Tier 1 Alpha Catalysts to obtain Tier 2 Alpha Catalyst shards. You can learn more about this trade off and how it benefits Summoners here.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where Moon Knight’s Special 1 Attack, Waxing Crescents, did not have a +20% Critical Hit Chance, and his Special 2 Attack, Divine Justice, would not inflict Bleed.
- Fixed a bug that caused the Chat Bar to disappear in Alliance Quests and Wars when tapping nodes to see information.
- Fixed a bug that caused Rhino’s Rank 2 fury to not activate.
- The title "Super Dude" appearing on the 3 VS 3 Series Match screen has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug that caused Rogue's Debuff Duration to set to 60% reduction instead of 65% reduction.
- Fixed a bug where Recoil was not affecting Special 3 attacks
UX Update:
- Event Quest Panel is now set to the last completed difficulty
This is actually a very welcome update, as previously it would only show Heroic, and subsequently Master when it was unlocked. You would have to scroll back to the level you were playing. Now those who are playing Normal or lower levels of difficulty, will see the mode is set appropriately.

While not officially announced, the update also includes two new characters expected to be released during the month of February - The Hood and Dormammu. Both are champions of the Mystic class and come with brand new movesets and abilities.

The Hood
The Hood aka Parker Robbins steals the hood and boots from a demon to gain his powers. He is classed as a Supervillain and a Crimeboss in Marvel lore. When wearing the boots, the Hood can walk on air. While wearing the cloak and holding his breath, he becomes invisible. Robbins also has the ability to transform demonically when under duress, gaining physical strength and speed. Its also been revealed that Hood's mystical powers come from Dormammu which even enables him to resurrect the deadThe Hood is talented with firearms and various methods of criminal enterprise. He also has access to various high level technologies.
Dormammu
Dormammu is the ruler of an alternate dimension known as the Dark Dimension. He is considered as one of the most powerful known mystical entities within the Marvel Universe, and one of Doctor Strange's greatest foes. The character is an interdimensional entity composed of mystical energy that can be used to achieve almost any effect he desires, including: energy projection; matter manipulation; resizing, teleportation, possession; necromancy; bestowing of power; and creating demon lords. In certain instances Dormammu has been displayed approaching a universal, or even multiversal, scale of influence.Dormammu is apparently stronger in the Dark Dimension, being empowered by the worship of his followers, and can draw upon its power.
